What would you do with $2,500?
United Way Ottawa needs your help to build a strong community. We challenge you to take a look around your schools and community and come up with an idea for a project that you think will address an issue or challenge. You and your team can receive a grant of up to $2,500 to complete a community project. By applying for a grant you can have an impact on how your community is shaped.

Youth Action Project Funding Application
Application Deadline: March 1, 2011 – 5:00 pm
How to apply for a Youth Action Grant
- Organize your team – typically, teams of three or more work best.
- Find a community sponsor - an organization that is a registered charity – to run the project for/with. If you need help finding a sponsor, send us an email. This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it.
- Develop your project idea - figure out why you want to do it, and how you will make it happen.
- Prepare a budget.
- Write your proposal and send it to us no later than 5:00 pm on the posted application deadline day.
After you submit your proposal
- The Youth Action Panel will evaluate your proposal based on a series of criteria.
- Every team of applicants will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview with the panel.
- Applicants are notified by phone and letter about the funding decision.
