How Can I Join the Action?

What makes Youth Action so unique is that there is something for everyone. No matter what you like to do - we have a way for you to get involved.

So, how can you join in on the Action?

Join the Panel

The Youth Action Panel is a group of 14 young people between the ages of 13 and 19 who volunteer their time with United Way Ottawa. They are responsible for making decisions and recommendations about where to invest up to $60,000 in youth-led community projects.

Apply for a Project Grant

Want to make a difference? Apply for a Youth Action project grant to help improve our community. United Way Ottawa provides up to $2,500 for young people to make a difference in the community by completing a community services or development project.

Spread the Word

If you are interested in being a Youth Action Rep in your school or community and helping us spread the word, we can give you some of your promotional material that you can hand out to your friends.
